The Garden Within - A Journey to Wholeness

Friday, January 18, 2013

Here is the Lord's promise to you:  Isaiah 51:3 ~ I'll transform her dead ground into Eden, her moonscape into the garden of God.  A place filled with exuberance and laughter, thankful voices and melodic songs. (exuberance- joyously unrestrained and enthusiastic- a : belief in special revelations of the Holy Spirit- Webster's Dictionary)  The Message.

With Jesus walking with you in the garden of your soul, you will be transformed into a beautiful flourishing garden!  He is the one who brings us from dead to alive.  Every dead place in your life that you allow Him into, can be created anew in Him!  Hear Him speak to you today these words, "Dear lover and friend, you're a secret garden."  Song of Solomon 4:12 He would love for us to respond to Him today with these words: "Let my beloved come into His garden..." verse 16.  Walk in Him this day, there is life there!

Reflect Jesus

Display Him to the world around you!

How do you reflect someone?

1.  You have to be looking towards them.  For example:  A diamond ring pointed towards or facing the sun reflects the suns or SHINES.  If it is pointed down, it does not reflect the sun.   So lift your head, turn towards the Son!  You will reflect Him if you look to Him!

2.  When you look at your reflection in the mirror, you have to look at yourself to reflect yourself right? Keep your eyes on Jesus to reflect Him.  Reflect means:  to give back a likeness...Be like Him, imitate Jesus!

3.  Know Him!  Spend time with the Lover of your soul.  Think on Him always, think on His ways, His way of being and doing, and then be and do.  How do you get to know someone?  By spending time with them, and talking to them, and looking at them, studying every feature.  Not only the shape, proportions, form, or outward appearance of Him, but also the distinctive aspect, quality and characteristics of Him.  Asking to hear His heart for you, and for others.  Listen, hear.

Then SHINE!  Display Him to the world around you.

Display:  To hold up to view.  Hold Him up to the world through you.

Reveal Him.  Reflect Him.  Make Him known.

WORSHIP HIM!

I was thinking about worship! It can mean a few things! We tend to use the word ‘worship’ today in the context of music. But I am being reminded that it is so much more!

The very heart of worship is the offering of our whole lives to God!
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship.” Romans 12:1-2

It’s interesting too that the first mention of the word ‘worship’ in the Bible is in the context of Abraham setting out to offer his son Isaac as a sacrifice. (Genesis 22:3-5)

In Jesus’ teaching on worship, He reveals what is most important to God. “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” John 4:22-24

I was thinking what could this mean? Worship in spirit and in truth? I believe it’s the way we live our life and what is going on in our heart. It's about who we really are! (when no one is looking!) In our worship are we pursuing Him? His heart, His face, His fellowship? Are we willing to die to our own ways and follow Him with all our heart?
I truly believe He is looking for people who are willing to know His heart. People who will be honest and transparent before Him. (Perhaps that's why the commandment to LOVE the Lord our God with all our heart, mind and soul is the most important one!)

I want to be that kind of worshiper.

We have all of eternity to marvel at God’s glory, and participate in worship at the throne of God.
But there is a kind of worship that exists only this side of heaven. And I believe that’s the opportunity to walk intimately with God in a loving relationship when the world around us is so seducing!
To lift up songs and praises in the middle of challenges and trials. To tell God how we really feel while choosing to remember He is Holy and worthy to be worshipped. We have an opportunity to surrender our whole earthly lives in love and obedience to Him.

We also have an opportunity to lay down our lives for His cause—to fulfil the desire of our Father’s heart—that people from every tribe and nation and language may worship in eternity before the throne of God. (Revelation 7:9-10)

Lord, teach me to worship.

"In Him we live, move and have our being."
ACTS 17:28

Keep Watering!!!

Seed Time~ Then Harvest

Seed time------------------------------------------then harvest!  Sometimes there is a big gap in between of what we are believing for and seeing that thing come to pass.

You reap what you sow!  What are you sowing in your life?  Whatever it is you are planting, you plant, and then you water!  Everyday you water!  Even if you don't see anything coming up, no results, no change in your situation....You water!  You may not see anything coming up for days, weeks, but you keep watering! Keep speaking LIFE!  "A wise gardener plants his seeds, then has the good sense not to dig them up every few days to see if a crop is on its way"  Just trust that the things Jesus, our Gardener plants, are growing, even though we don't "SEE" them yet.  Just keep speaking life.  What we say we eventually believe!!!  It is like watering dirt. You keep watering!  Don't stop praying. Believing. Trusting.  Our God is faithful!

God's Perspective

Jesus reality is from heaven to earth, start your prayers from heaven and bring them to earth! Jesus brought this kingdom reality to earth. So what does this mean? You go to the Father and you get His perspective on life, ask what He is doing, what He thinks?  Do you talk to God that way?  If you talk with Him, and learn of His Word, your mind will become consistent with what God thinks.  I asked God after hearing this "pray from heaven to earth", what that looked like, what that meant, to start my prayers from there and bring them to here.  I learned it is all about an eternal perspective, to get God's perspective.  So of course I had to look up this word perspective:) so that I would know how to take heaven, God's perspective, to the natural.  To grasp that "on earth as it is in heaven". God's perspective~ point of view. (How He sees it). View~ (heavenly) observation, (His) interpretation-explanation or to explain the meaning of .He can explain the meaning of things happening,  (His) opinion. The field of vision. A view from a tower (He is our High Tower-Proverbs 18:10, Psalm 61:3). A way of seeing something from a particular position or angle.  An aim, intention. Expectation.

One of the meanings of perspective was intention, so I asked: "God, what is your intention in this" ? Intention~a plan of action ( what is Your plan of action Lord?), design.  An aim that guides action. (He wants to guide our actions), intent, purpose, goal, end, aim, objective- these nouns refer to what one hopes to achieve or attain. (He has a purpose in mind, a goal, an end) End~ ultimate attainment viewed from long range. (He knows our end, WE WIN in Him). Aim~ the direction ones efforts take in pursuit of the end, (or ultimate attainment).  Objective~refers to on end or goal with the implication that it can be reached! So ask Him: "God, what do you hope to achieve or attain in this? He will show us His heavenly, eternal perspective for what we are going through, or what we are praying for. Lets ask for His eyes, His point of view. This involves spending time with Him.

The secret place is imperative!  Spending time with the lover of our souls is imperative (necessary, absolutely essential and of major significance)!!! Only with God are perfect wisdom and might, He alone has true counsel and understanding (Job 12:13) We must go before Him to hear His heart, to get His perspective, to get His point of view, to get His interpretation (explanation, to explain the meaning of), to get his field of vision.  To get His point of view~ (this was actually in dictionary too as three words) it meant~ the position for which something is observed or considered, standpoint.  Ones manner of viewing things, or attitude.

He loves us so much and if we go to Him and get his perspective, I believe it will change the way we pray and act and react. Let's begin to pray from HEAVEN TO EARTH!

In His amazing love~Emma

We are made to fellowship with God!

I love His Word! Be encouraged! (Amplified Bible)

A study on FELLOWSHIP with God!

1 John 1:3 (A word from the apostles)~ What we (the apostles) have seen and heard, we are also telling you, so that you too may realize and enjoy fellowship as partners and partakers with us. And this fellowship, (this condition of being together and sharing similar interests and experiences, this friendship with God, that we have which is a distinguishing mark as Christians), is with the Father and with His son Jesus Christ!

Ephesians 2:5 He (God) made us alive together in fellowship and in union (oneness) with Christ. He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him…

In the church, which is His body, dwells the fullness of Him who fills all in all (for in that body (in us) lives the full measure of Him who makes everything complete, and who fills everything, everywhere with Himself)!!! The full measure of Christ is in us!!!! (Ephesians 1:23) God is personally present IN YOU through Christ (11 Cor. 5:19) He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ: [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him!!! Quickened ~ Greek from Eph. 2:5~ to complete (He completes us), journeying (He is on this journey with us), comradeship (a person who shares ones interests, or activities, friend, companion), companionship, resemblance (others should say of us “You look just like your Father”:), instrument ( You are His vessel set apart !), like-minded (we think His thoughts), co-spirited, similar in sentiment (caring), raise up, shoot out (for His purposes), breathe, Spirit, accompaniment (to go along with, join in company), amid (surrounded by, in the middle of), and together! Quickened ~ Hebrew from Psalm 119:93~ to live, to revive, keep, make alive, give (promise) life, nourish up, preserve (alive), recover, repair, restore (to life), save, to make whole!!!

So Father God, I thank you for Your fullness inside of us! I thank you that you are with us on this journey and that you quicken our mortal bodies even today God! I thank you for your promise of life!!! I pray you would raise us up and shoot us out for your purposes in this world!!! To be your ambassadors, your personal representatives to those who need to find, and be reconciled to you! (11Cor. 5:20) Breathe on us today Lord! Give us new life! Give us the mind of Christ, that we may be like minded with you for this fight! Give us a spirit of wisdom and revelation (of insight into the mysteries and secrets) in the deep and intimate knowledge of Jesus. Flood the eyes of our hearts with light!!! So that we can know and understand the hope to which You have called us! So we can know and understand what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of Your power in and for us who believe! Demonstrate this I pray in the working of Your mighty strength!!! Revive us! We want to live in fellowship with You, help us to grasp this and not let go, that you desire this fellowship with us more than we ourselves! Make us completely whole today in You Jesus! And in that precious and overcoming Name I pray! JESUS! Amen and so be it!

Polluted soil??

Ephesians 4:29 says: Let no foul words, that is...let no ugly, unattractive, offensive or dishonoring words come out of your mouth. In the amplified bible it then says, or polluting language~ The first definition of polluting said, the contamination of soil, so things wont grow! If soil is contaminated, things wont grow, and we can contaminate the soil of our hearts by our words, by what we say. Even self talk can contaminate the soil of our heart. For example: "I am so fat", "I am so stupid", "I always drop things", that list can go on and on sometimes right? The word foul means~ to clog or obstruct. Foul, negative language can clog the flow of God in our lives! It also means to entangle, like a weed, it kills life. Self talk effects who you are! So we need to speak what God says over and to us:) Back to the word polluting~ the contamination of soil, water or atmosphere by the discharge of harmful substances (or words), and to make unfit for or harmful to living things especially by the addition of waste matter. Harmful to the things that are living in us already, and harmful to others who may hear us. Our word to ourselves or to others can change the atmosphere for the better, or for the worse. Our words either bring life, or death to the hearers. Proverbs 18:21. *Plant the soil of your mind and heart full of good thoughts, and words and the crops it yields will be plentiful!
